Hero ISL 2016 will kick start on October 1, 2016 in Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai, Guwahati. This will be the third session of Hero ISL. There will be eight teams all total who are rigorously practicing their skills to perform well than the last two sessions.
This time ISL opening ceremony and the first match will be held in IGA Stadium Guwahati. This immensely drive the attention of the local soccer enthusiasts and boost the popularity of soccer in the North-Eastern region of India which is the hub of sport talents in India.
There will be participating teams, viz
1. Atletico de Kolkata
2. Chennaiyin FC
3. Mumbai City FC
4. FC Pune City
5. FC Goa
6. Delhi Dynamos
7. North East United FC
8. Kerala Blasters
