1.Advertising Networks:The Best Possible Way Of Monetizing
A Blog
Advertising probably is the best, reliable and prime source
of making money from a Blog. Almost every Blogger uses Advertising in their
blogs to monetize their contents. There are enormous amount of online Advertising
company/platforms and you can find your one which suits you the best. There are
some key players in the market namely Google’s Ad-sense, Infolink, Chitika, Media.Net,
VigLink, Clickbank, etc etc. Every platform has its own terms and conditions
and specifications. For example, some needs a high traffic in your blog where
some has very strict rules for approval of sites and content monetization.
Google’s Ad-sense, if we take as an example, has very strict rules terms and
conditions being the most popular content monetizing Ad network. It is the
basic requirement that your blog should be at least six months old. Again your
age should above of 18 years. There should not be any sexual /adult or
pornographic contents in your blog to use this Ad network and also your blog
should not be spreading any hateful elements etc. Ads are varies in nature and
appearances. For example there could be text ads; they could be an image or
audio-visual or combination of these. Other ad network like Infolink has an
in-text ad format where viewers hover over the specific in-text ad link, the
ads appears and so on. You can dig further as per your requirements.
The setup
up processes of all ad networks is almost same. You need to sign up to these ad
network sites following their specific instructions and submit your application
and once your site fulfills their requirements, your application is accepted
and you get the html codes of the specific ad formats and you use those in your
blog. If this seems a bit complicated to you right now, don’t worry at all. You
will be assisted by your ad network service provider step by step when you
follow their website as your application is accepted; therefore I am not going
to discuss those in details.
2. Affiliate Marketing: A Monetizing Strategy
Affiliate Marketing is the second most popular way of
earning money from a blog that most of the successful blogger uses to monetize
their contents. If it sounds complicated, imagine you have a blog where you
write about latest technologies or smart phones or you write reviews on cameras
in your blog. When you write the review article, you simply give some links in
your article to the viewers where they can purchase the product if they want
and the companies pay you some commission on each sale happens with the consumer
recommended by your blog post or blog.
The age is now of e-commerce marketplaces;
people are now more engaged in online purchases of goods and services then
before. There are a lot of global online marketplaces like Amazon, Toabao, Ebay,
Alibaba, Flipkart etc who are providing Affiliate Marketing facilities. First
you are required to become an associate by signing up the respective websites
and once your association is confirmed, you are free to promote their products
in your blog.
Note that the best result of Affiliate Marketing can be seen if
your website or blog has a good traffic (Traffic is the amount of daily
visitors to your blog). It is simply because the more viewers reads your article,
most likely they purchase the products followed by your provided links.
3. Donations: As Content Monetizing Option
Let’s assume you are a social worker, you work for the
development of your society. You visit all around and study the prevailing order
or you work for the poor and you write about them in your blog. You can put a
donation link in your blog as you really want to make some difference in your
society and in the lives of their vulnerable poor along with your writings works.
But for that you really need to be well established, well proved and legitimate
with your work, your online presence and your blog as no one is going to make some
donations to a random guy or a blog.
To get
donations your blog doesn’t have to be a social work related or you don’t need
to be a social worker, what it matters is the quality contents of your blog
which influences the lives of the readers. If your writings, your contents,
your blog posts are making some difference in the lives of the readers; if you
are making some really good efforts to teach the readers something new they don’t
know which make them run their life better than before; some beneficiary baron
around the globe will definitely pay you for your hard work.
Never think it is disgraceful
getting donations or adding a donation link in your blog; giant Wikimedia and
its subsidiaries including Wikipedia or controversial Wikileaks (Note:
Wikileaks doesn’t have any relation with Wikimedia or its subsidiaries and its
controversy is not because of donations) are running only on donations.
Donations are just another form of valuation of right and worthy works in
online platform. So if your articles have those above characteristics, go for
it.
4. Sponsorships: How It Works
Sponsorships are also very profitable ways of making money
from your blog. Sometimes incomes from sponsorships are manifest in nature but
most of the time sponsorships are latent but profitable source. The reason you
will understand when you understand what is sponsorship.
Sponsorship is an another
form of advertising where you promote or advertise some product of a producer because
you are an influencing personality or a platform and a lot of people follows
you and the company approaches you for the same pays you a handsome amount for
the task. I wrote sponsorship as a source of income is often latent because in
order to get sponsorship you and your blog needs to be popular among the readers’
community or the topics you choose to write in your blog and must have a huge
traffic. It is because when you see from the company’s point of view, the product
of which you are promoting, the company needs to place their product in front
of millions if not thousands of consumers through your blog whom they like or
follow.
Therefore it is obvious that you must have a good image and traffic and
a lot of followers which is only possible after a long term and dedicated
commitment to your blog. Apart from that logical reason, most of the popular
blogger who has a huge number of followers find themselves mostly attending events-shows
or concerts promoting and so those incomes come from outside of their blogs.
However bloggers gets many offers from producers to promote their products
directly in their blogs.
5. Advertisement Invitation: An Another Option
This is very similar to Sponsorship where you place an invitation
notice or you a link in your web site to those viewers who wants to promote
their product-services through your website or blog. They could be local
business nearby or someone in the opposite side of the world. You can create a
button or a link or a page namely ‘Advertise with Us’ providing terms &
conditions and all other information.
The logical reason behind it is the same,
you have a huge traffic and they want to promote their product. The difference
is with sponsorship is, in sponsorship you are invited by the producers or
companies to promote their product and here the producers and companies are
invited actively by you on the basis of a contract of fix or flexible sum.
